I awoke this morning to to the sound of my apartment building’s sign screeching back and forth violently in the wind. It’s usually windy in Center City, because all of the tall buildings form giant wind tunnels, but I did notice the wind had picked up a bit.
Instead of preparing for the hurricane, I spent my afternoon on the top floor of an old townhouse apartment building on Spruce across from the Kimmel Center. I was asked to act, rather than be behind the camera for a change. I agreed, because my character was shy and non-socialable. I figured that pretending to be awkward and antisocial would come naturally to me, especially since that sums up my grade school years perfectly. It was a lot harder than I thought it would be. Surprisingly I was told by two of the crew members that I appear naturally outgoing to them. When did I ever become outgoing? Baffled, I managed my part to Sydney’s satisfaction.
First off, to all of my faithful followers, you are the best. Second, I’m sorry that I haven’t been updating everyday. Now that I live in Philly and school is sort of crazy I don’t have as much time. I’ve been able to do a lot of film work and recently worked on a short with the Aaton 16mm camera. If you’re not familiar, this is the camera that was primarily used for filming The Hurt Locker, which won the oscar for best picture. It’s beautiful and if you get a chance to film with it, by all means, take advantage of that.
I’ll do my best to keep everyone updated and informed! You can see a lot of my updates and recent work on my Facebook Page.
